He worked with AWD Financial Services from 2003 to 2007, followed by a stint as Project Manager at TAM Aero Taxi, where he honed his team-building and employee training abilities. From 2010 to 2014, Max was a pilot for Ackerman Trust, showcasing his diverse skill set.
Max’s entrepreneurial spirit truly shined with the founding of Elegance Group Limited. Starting from humble beginnings in his garage, Max grew the company into a global enterprise, exemplifying the classic entrepreneurial success story. His strategic acumen led to the successful sale of Elegance Group to a group of investors.
In 2018, Max took on the challenge of heading business development for JetQuote FlyZUUM, where he played a crucial role in the company’s growth. Currently, he serves as a Europe Business Consultant for Wealth Drive Gain Limited Nigeria, leveraging his international expertise to drive business expansion.

Question: What’s the most important thing we should know about you?
Max Hussmann: I love life and all the challenges it comes with.
Question: Name the most impactful lesson you learned from failure.
Max Hussmann: Never give up and accept your failure, learn that others will always talk about you whether its good or bad. Society will never know what really happened but they will always be quick to judge you and brand you the way most convenient for them.
Question: What did you waste the most time on when you were first starting your career?
Max Hussmann: Trying to be too organised.
Question: Name a tool you use for work that you can’t live without.
Max Hussmann: Honestly, my diary and my fountain pen.
Question: What is your favorite hobby and why?
Max Hussmann: Water sports of any kind. I love the ocean and grew up around water and sailing. Kite surfing, sailing, surfing, foiling, scuba diving …. The ocean is vast, infinite. There is so much we haven’t discovered in the ocean. A great mystery, a palace in which I as a human realize how tiny, how unimportant I am … one storm, one force of nature and we are gone.
Question: What excited you the most about your industry right now?
Max Hussmann: Progress into new technologies, and new forms of propulsion using unique methods and techniques.
Question: What tips do you have for getting a seat at the table?
Max Hussmann: Make yourself known, don’t be shy, and certainly don’t shy away from criticism.

Max Hussmann: Yuval Noah Harari (21 lessons for the 21st century + Sapiens)
Question: Do you value intelligence or common sense more? Why?
Max Hussmann: Common sense is not something one can teach, you either have it or you don’t. I believe in a healthy mix of both. Common sense goes a long way and often allows a person to understand his surroundings, and his playing field quicker. Common sense is real – intelligence is equally not something you can teach but once can certainly grow knowledge and educate yourself growing your capacity of intellect.
Question: What would you consider to be the perfect day?Max Hussmann: Going for a morning surf or sail, stopping at a local coffee shop for emails, and planning out my day. I love reading the newspaper – the actual paper. Finishing the day off with walking my dog and a nice home cooked meal. I spend too much time in hotels that every home-cooked meal is a blessing.
