Living in Margate City, NJ, Larry Stone works as a Realtor Associate for Soleil Sotheby’s International Realty where he primarily services the Margate, Longport, and Ventnor area. After retiring from teaching and playing golf full-time, Larry dove head first into a career in real estate and established himself in the area over 20 years ago. Today, Larry caters to markets not only in Margate, Longport, and Ventnor, but the feeder markets of Philadelphia, Delaware, and the other regions of New Jersey.
Larry Stone became increasingly interested in a career in real estate after seeing the success of his family members who worked in the industry. In 2004, Larry began working as a Realtor Associate in a national brokerage located in his hometown and discovered a sense of fulfillment and passion for his new work. He was so successful he was given the opportunity to join Soleil Sotheby’s International Realty which transformed his career into what it is today.
There are many real estate agents who are only after the commission. Larry Stone cares about his clients and never ceases in his search to find them the perfect home that fits their budget and aesthetic. He especially loves working with sellers and learning what they truly love about their homes. Larry always stays in contact with his clients even after he sells their home to ensure their continued happiness.
Larry Stone is a New Jersey native who was born, raised, and currently lives on a small island, minutes away from Atlantic City. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, is a genuine family man, and self-titled foodie. Golf has always been a source of happiness and fulfillment for Larry. He began teaching and playing at various golf and country clubs in the area where he frequently organized events for the entire community; the New Jersey Special Olympics was one such event.
Larry Stone also participated extensively in the Junior Golf Program where he helped train new, up and coming golfers. His biggest goal was to impart his knowledge while making sure everyone was having fun. Larry strongly believes loving the sport and having fun while playing it are critical aspects to success.
In addition, Larry loves to travel with his family. He has been to Australia, Spain, the Caribbean, and several cities in the United States. He enjoyed the vacations he took with his parents as a child so much that he made sure to continue the tradition with his daughter.

What’s the most important thing we should know about you?
Larry Stone: Larry jumps both feet in when he wants something. Whether it be golf, real estate, or helping the community, Larry dedicates himself to extensively learning about the topic and brainstorming unique problem-solving solutions.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Larry Stone: Being an involved father and husband. It can be difficult trying to balance a career, your personal life, and hobbies, but none of those things should be given up. I am proud to know that I have a thriving career, I enjoy my hobbies monthly, and I have a wonderful relationship with my wife and daughter.
What did you waste the most time on when you were first starting your career?
Larry Stone: Trying to prove myself. It is important to understand that proving yourself to anyone but yourself is a waste of time. Hard work and the fruits of it will prove everything in its own time.
What is your favorite hobby and why?
Larry Stone: Spending time with the family. This could mean trying a new cuisine or exploring a new part of the world.
What excites you the most about your industry right now?
Larry Stone: The constant evolution of people’s needs versus the housing market. All things change, and the challenge of staying up-to-date and on top of it is an exciting challenge to rise to.
What’s the greatest risk you’ve ever taken?
Larry Stone: I took a chance on a career in Real Estate although I was already successful as a teacher and player of Golf. But the reward seemed greater than the risk, so I gave it a try. It was the greatest risk I’ve ever taken, and the best one as well.
Name one small habit that positively impacts your productivity.
Larry Stone: Disconnecting work emails from my personal phone. By doing this, I am able to be off the clock when I need to be, so I can really relax and tune in to other parts of my life. Then when I get back to work, I have increased productivity because I want to continue to enjoy my time after work.
What tips do you have for getting a seat at the table?
Larry Stone: Knowing your worth and expecting others to know it as well. There are a lot of people who deserve a seat at the table that just don’t know it or don’t require others to respect that. Once you’ve found what you bring, let the world know it!
Do you value intelligence or common sense more? Why?
Larry Stone: Is this a trick question? I think both should be valued; both are equally important. If you really want an answer of which is most valuable, you’ll have to give context. The value of each depends on the situation at hand.
What would you consider to be the perfect day?
Larry Stone: My perfect day would begin with a morning of golf in Aruba with my family. In the afternoon, we’d spend our time exploring the area, followed by an eight-course dinner by one of the finest chefs around. To end the night, we would all curl up for a few episodes of Property Brothers on HGTV.
