After working in the construction and home-building industry for over 20 years, Chuck Schmalzried has become a reputable figure in this field. He is the co-owner of Michelle Construction, a company located in Michigan. Chuck and his partner, Michelle, are known for their high-quality craftsmanship and their ability to deliver exceptional homes to their clients. During his high school years, Chuck started to develop a passion for construction. He was able to learn a valuable skill through the guidance of his father, who was a skilled carpenter and always completed additional projects in their home. At the time, Chuck was unaware of how much this field would benefit him.
After graduating from high school, he briefly pursued a college degree. However, he soon realized that his calling was different than what one might consider the traditional career path. His calling eventually led him into the Air Force.
During his time in the Air Force, Chuck Schmalzried was able to participate in Operation Desert Storm. Although he was not aware of what he was doing at the time, his experience in the military had prepared him for his future career in the home-building industry. After he was honorably discharged from the military, he moved to Ohio and joined the Ohio National Guard.
He started working odd jobs in the construction industry until he and his father established their own business in 1998. Afterward, he decided to begin Michelle Construction.
Aside from being able to create beautiful homes, Chuck’s favorite part about his job is being able to build meaningful relationships with his clients. He believes that people should be able to raise a family in a home that is built to last.
